The aim of the Cardiorespiratory Block is to enable you to make progress towards achieving the ‘Outcomes for Graduates’ defined by the General Medical Council in the context of experience in care of patients with Cardiovascular and Respiratory diseases.  In this Block, you will rotate through Departments of Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine.  It will give you an opportunity to have a fairly broad based and comprehensive exposure to diseases of two fundamental organ systems, thus increasing your knowledge, skills and understanding of these topics.  You will do so by ward and clinic based teaching, exposure to diagnostic procedures, observing and learning from multidisciplinary meetings, formal and informal lectures and discussions, presentations and self-directed learning.
