Mental Health Care

The aim of this block is to enable you to make progress towards achieving the ‘Outcomes for Graduates’ defined by the General Medical Council in the context of experience in care of patients with mental health problems.

You will work with consultants and their teams in a variety of clinical environments, including hospital ward and clinics.  You will gain experience with a wide variety of patients, to learn how patients with mental health problems present, how to take a history and examine them, how their problems are investigated, and how they are managed by the clinical team.
